Food and drink very expensive. But the rooms lovely. Need to do a bar menu .
For the second consecutive year I used the Ivy Hill Hotel for a Christmas reunion luncheon for retired colleagues. It was a very good experience in 2017 with courteous staff, fine food and excellent service. This year, everything was even better, a really enjoyable A1 event and good value too!

We were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel - charming, comfortable and tastefully updated. The gardens are very pretty and they have a great patio to enjoy a meal or drink. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. Thank you Best Western Ivy Hill for a great stay!
The booking and reception staff greeted us with a smile. We were delayed being given our room key. I can't complain as we did receive a free upgrade on the room, which was pleasant. The grounds are lovely. A few negatives, but I did not feel worthy or reducing the 5* rating. The bed was far too soft, where the ends collapse. The room showed signs that it had not been cleaned. Confetti from the previous tenants. Dust on the phone - fairly deep, so not just settled overnight. All in all it was a pleasant stay, the breakfast was good and we would stay again if we were travelling to this area.
